How To Develop A Perfect Putting Stroke

First Build A Solid Setup

To have a consistent, repeatable putting stroke, you must have a solid setup. Go and review the Putting Setup for all the important basic setup fundamentals. Many times a golfer will have errors or be compensating in their putting stroke simply because some part of their alignment is off. When I give a putting lesson, I first make sure a person's setup and alignment are correct and in order. Fixing a golfer's alignment will often help their stroke just because now the golfer does not need to make compensations because of a poor setup.

Components To A Good Stroke

A solid putting stroke will consist of the hands, arms, and shoulders all working together in one piece. You want to feel as if you are making a pendulum motion with your arms and hands. Keeping your lower body completely still and rocking your shoulders back and forth should give you the basic feel of a proper putting stroke. Check out these Putting Stroke Keys and learn 3 very important keys to a great stroke.

Build An Unstoppable Putting Stroke

If you want to dramatically lower your golf scores, I highly recommend The Putting Genius' E-Guide. You'll learn all the secrets about putting the touring pros know and you'll be draining all your putts the next time you go out to play.
