When you are first learning how to judge the speed of your putts accurately, one thing you can do is pace off the distance of your putts between you and the hole. You can simply walk to the hole and count the number of steps or paces you took. When you start to do this, you'll naturally begin to develop a feel for how hard to hit your putts.
