Which Golf Putter Is Best For You?
There are two basic types of golf putters, the blade and the mallet. Then of course there are some special deviations such as the long putter and the belly putter. There are so many different brands and styles of putters that it can be difficult knowing what to choose. The most important guideline for choosing a putter is to pick one that feels good to you. Don't simply buy a putter because it is the new hot item on the market. Try out several different putters and pick one based on which one feels the best and you think will give you confidence to hole more putts. Also, if you are one of those people that has several different putters and you change them often, this is probably going to throw off your feel slightly because you will always have to be re-adjusting to the next putter. So pick a putter that feels good to you and stick with it for awhile. You may have a bad day once in a while on the putting greens, but most likely that is because of a flaw in your technique rather than the fault of the putter.

Choosing a putter has a lot to do with what feels comfortable to you. A top brand putter that is higher priced is not always necessary. Good putting technique is the most important thing before getting a fancy and expensive putter. Once you have good technique, a good putter may give you added confidence so go for it if one feels right to you.
